This is a beautiful slow waltz written by Dave Swarbrick as his farewell tune when he moved back to the UK after several years in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney.

My recording is based on the transcription by Maartin Allcock which appears in the free tunebook that came with the "Swarb" CD box set.

    1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin
    Ozark tenor guitar

Another old favourite that I've revisited this weekend -- I always consider this as the companion piece to "Boadicea" (which I've also just re-recorded), even though the two tunes were release twenty years apart: this one first appeared on Swarb's album "English Fiddler" (on Naxos, no less) in 2003.

    Same instrumentation as Boadicea:

    1921 Gibson Ajr mandolin
    Vintage Viaten tenor guitar

My new way of recording with accompaniment overdubbed later allows for more rubato than in my first version, which suits the tune (Swarb drags it all over the place).

Nicely done. Hadn’t heard this one.

I really enjoyed this one. That's a very nice arrangement and played with a lot of feeling.
