OK, folks, it's 4:14 p.m. CDST Thursday and I am one confused guy trying to figure out how the impending week's tune is shaping up. We're using the poll for weeks #14, 15 & 16 for weeks 17 and 18 (now you see why I'm confused), and according to that, "Harvest Home/Off to California" have a narrow lead over, um, "Bluegrass Stomp." If you haven't voted, please stand up and be counted. "Harvest Etc." is a set of two Irish hornpipes. They're fun to play. (And I already know them, so I will be quite happy if they win.) "Bluegrass Stomp" is another Bill Monroe tour de right hand. I hope Don will give us a slow instructional intro to that tune, if it comes to the fore now or ends up as the tune for week 18.

I'm hoping for the hornpipes - I already know them - I'm still trying to get Pilgrim and Chilly Shannon Winds down... a little break will be nice... and then it's back to serious practice with the Stomp...
