So after 6 months of solo mandolin learning, I had a chance to play with my brother, who plays guitar, this weekend. It was a blast! We worked on "Arkansas Traveller". Never made it all the way through the B part. He was really pushing me. "I'm your metronome!" he said. My sister-in-law made a video. Over on the main board there's a discussion about the true mirror of seeing yourself on video. Ha, ha, we were playing so slow, though it didn't seem so as I was playing! But still, it was so much fun. I hope to be able to do it again soon. Sue
Sounds like great fun, Sue
Video? I didn't see no video! A music video of folks having fun is fun to watch, too.
Ha ha ha, we had alot of fun, but the video is pretty bad. I'll have to think about that one
Puts it all in perspective, doesn't it?
For sure. But I also look forward to having it as a point of comparison for the future, so I can see my own progress.
Sounds like a fun and enlightening time, Sue!
