I couldn't find this in the table of contents, so here's a new thread.

"Branle de la Torche" (or "Bransle de la Torche") is attributed to Michael Praetorius, one of my favourite composers. It was first published in the early 17th century. I came across the score for this melody by accident and then felt I had to learn and record it. It's one of those amazing tunes that sticks in your mind all day.

So here's a quick rendition with two voices played on my Fylde, some banging on my son's hand drum, and a bit of cornamuse at the end.

    Very nice Dennis!
I always enjoy your avant garde postings.
It’s like going to a restaurant and someone else orders an exotic meal for you.
What tasty delicacies do we have here then?!
    Hhmmmmm!

This is an interesting tune, Dennis with some obvious history and the music reflects the time period. The two mandolins do well together.
