Ha, ha, Ginny, I saw the Sun setting and suddenly thought: ‘Oh, The British Grenadiers!’, and quickly rummaged around my repertoire book to find it (couldn’t remember how it began). And then the light began to change! And then I couldn’t get my frozen left hand fingers to coordinate with the right! I played a much better version, with the right feelings straight afterwards but it wasn’t the same in the dark. And there were wolves (real ones) howling on one of the other takes.
