This is a fun tune by Fraley that refers to the/a dance. This man really played the fiddle like a mandolin in a lot of ways, to me anyway. He really makes use of quickly played notes. He also keeps things simple and also doesn't use double-stops to the extent most fiddlers do. Thanks for the listen!
That's a very charming tune, light and bouncy with just the right amount of swing, like a schottische should have, and a hummable tune to boot. Thanks so much for playing it! Martin
Fine playing, Frank. Schottisches are fun to play and to dance to. Your mando sounds great and the backing is first class, giving the tune a great lift.
This totally goes with some Disney characters, or the creatures dancing on the lawn in John Fogerty's backyard.
The master at work. Great feeling Frank.
Thanks so much John, Bertrum and Simon. I agree Bertrum! My favorite back yard song!
Nice hammer-on pull-off triplets on the graet-sounding oval hole Pava!
