Here another strathspey. Composed by Robert Mackintosh (c. 1745-1807).
Nice to have you posting, Pierpaolo! What a lovely, lilting interpretation of this tune.
Fine interpretation of the Strathspey, Pierpaolo. You deliver the Scotch Snap well in this version. I know the small village of Saddell in Kintyre very well and you have made me quite nostalgic listening to this one.
Very nice music and video, Pierpaolo. You make the Eastman sound fine.
Great sounding strathspey, Pierpaolo.
Oh I really like the melody here, Pier. Nicely, smoothly played. And nice work on the strathspey parts - which take a bit of getting used to.
Your playing and the reverb do make this sound very nostalgic, even a little forlorn - tragic beauty, but beauty nevertheless. It's very evocative and haunting.
Thank you all. John, I'm sorry to ruin your mood. I hope next choice will be better.
No, my mood was not ruined but made more pleasant by your rendition, Pierpaolo. Nostalgia is, for me, a very pleasant state to be in and I loved the memories your playing brought back to me of my youthful days. I note that Dennis (Gelsenbury) also felt it was nostalgic and evocative.
And I also meant it as a compliment! I like music that moves me.
