Here is the fourth (and last) of the German folk songs I recorded last weekend. This is a traditional German folk song from Silesia (Schlesien): https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Und_in_dem_Schneegebirge My instrumental recording is based on harmonies from the Bärenreiter song book "Bruder Singer". 1915 Luigi Embergher mandolin 1920s/30s "Majestic" mandolin Suzuki MC-815 mandocello Vintage Viaten tenor guitar No singing this time, you will be pleased to hear -- I'm cured of the temptation for now after listening one time too many to my voice on "Schnitter Tod"! https://youtu.be/3cZd79-kjs8 Martin
I have really enjoyed these tunes, Martin - this one is very nice and the synchronization and harmony is perfect. It's a musical repertoire that was completely unknown to me up till now.
Without voice? I thought, Martin, that singing was going to be another weapon in your arsenal of musical skills...
One minute of fine music, Martin!
Thanks, Richard, Jairo and Christian. Not to worry -- the lastest German one has my inimitable off-key singing again! Martin
