Thanks John, yes the second one was more of an experiment. It reminds me of a dance rhythm that I heard once in Brazil that seemed a bit disjointed. Funny though, the strange rhythm of the second one actually did something to my left hand coordination on the first version. Got some clipped notes in there.
As John says, the jig rhythm is very good here. And I agree about the considerable advantages of drinking water every day!
