I fell down a Youtube rabbit hole today listening to Bach played on the mandolin and I feel inspired.

Is there a good book or online source for Bach mando tab? ("Good" == has pieces at varying levels of difficulty so a beginner or intermediate player won't get discouraged)

Also, check out the Tabledit files here at the cafe, https://www.mandolincafe.com/te/sear...rder=A&submit=

I have some Bach sheets for download on my website, mostly standard notation but I think a few in TAB (my memory is … oh well, I’ve forgotten the simile, but it’s not good) Scroll this page to find them: http://www.markgunter.net/good_stuff...bs-song-charts

Ooh, the book in the classifieds is the one with the cover photo of a badly beaten L&H where some infidel screwed a strap hanger to the top of it. Hurts to look at that, and there should be a law. If you get that book, BadExampleMan, you will need to make some alterations to the cover. Either an Xacto knife or some electrical tape would do it.

Oooo, the Mel Bay is available as an ebook, so (in this age of instant gratification) that's the one for me! Thanks, Louise!

Here’s another starting point, this is a PDF created by Mike Wilkinson that is in tablature, it’s his arrangement of Bach’s Invention #4 for solo mandolin. It’s not “perfect” - the Bach Inventions were two part pieces, so compromises were called for in this solo arrangement - but it’s not too difficult. It was the first Bach piece I learned as a mandolin newb in 2015.
