I taught humanities at the college level for more than 25 years. time to play music now. A baccalaureate in music history and literature from San Francisco State Univ., and an M.A. in humanities from Ariz St. Univ., and ABT with dissertation precis published on David Belasco and Puccini. This broad background coupled with music performance on flute, accordion, and piano provides considerable expertise to arrange for various ensembles. I've published social histories on ballo liscio and bal musette, and sheet music books: "Mandolins, Like Salami," "Mandolin Melodies," "French Soirée," and "Italian Mandolin Heroes in America" (published in early 2019).
