Biography:
Okay, so... Seven years ago, my wife bought me a cheap 5 string banjo, figuring it would be a fun thing to have around, maybe learn to noodle a bit. Wrong! I totally got sucked into it. Took classes and private lessons at Old Town School here in Chicago. Upgraded to a Gibson banjo. A year later, for my birthday, she got me a really nice, vintage Kay mandolin as my next instrument. That's when I first joined Mandolin Cafe'. Unfortunately, a couple of poorly healed knuckles from playing 16 inch softball (it's a Chicago thing), kept me from being able to fret the mandolin well. I stuck with the banjo, added upright bass, played a little six string guitar. About November of '16, I got the hankering for a tenor guitar. Thought I'd tune it to open G and use the same chords as the banjo. So research, research, research. tried to buy a decent '64 Gibson Tenor locally. The guy never got back to me. Hadn't really thought about an electric until I saw John Lawlor on Youtube. So I Gooogled "Tenor Electric Guitar" and found the Eastwood Guitars. As I'm writing this, I'm awaiting delivery on the Classic Tenor. I'm sure I'll have more to write later this week.
