Biography:

From the time I was 4-years-old to the age of fifteen, I practiced violin. As much as I admire the violin (along with most other instruments I've heard of), playing it seemed like a chore. After eleven years, I wanted to study a different instrument. I finally settled on the mandolin and, in August 2012, I purchased a 2011 Ibanez M510E-DVS. It is pictured in my avatar. Funny story: I bought it new but at a used price because of a barely noticeable, aesthetic flaw (some fingerprints under the varnish in the back). I took some lessons but I was not a very good student because I had a lot going on in my life at the time. My teacher retired about six months after I started and I stopped practicing for a while. In July 2014, I decided to pick up picking again.
