I recently (saw up close) a Strymon Cloudburst used with an acoustic guitar, and now it's on the top of my wishlist. I'd never heard of "ambient reverb" before; it's impressive!

I'd guess a cut-out section of a "sunshade" brim from an old gardener's hat, judging from the arc of the stitched trim on the back edge of the pick.
All of the Fishman Loudbox series amps have either 5MOhm or 10MOhm input impedances on the 1/4 inch jacks, according to the manuals. They work great with NO preamp (at least with K&K transducers) and...
Although I have a quart can of naptha, for small jobs (minor cleaning & lubing, or even thinning Tru-Oil) I just use a little can of Zippo lighter fluid from Kroger/Fred Meyer.
It's no longer available on YouTube, but I found it here:

Likely removed from YT due to licensing/marketing agreements. Oh, and it...
Another option is to bump the gauges on each string up slightly, tune a step down to FCGD, and capo at the 2nd fret for GDAE. This will drop a 23 inch scale length down to about 20.5 inches.
Here are a couple of possibilities:

Bloom is what happens after the percussive attack which drives the string decays. Bells are a perfect example: The initial crack of the clapper dies off, and the bell's note "blooms". Sure;...
That's really a beauty!
So if it's tuned CGDA it's really an alto guitar? I'm curious if anyone (maybe John Pearse) makes strings for alto guitar ..... not really .... I'm just being sarcastic responding to a dead thread....
I wouldn't have considered ukulele if not for hearing Rob MacKillop's music (in 5ths tuning) on YouTube. I use a Concert tuned GDAE using La Bella 900 Gold Classical Guitar Strings (the 6-4-2-1...
The bridge is still not centered correctly on the top. It's correct for the scale length, but it's still offset to the treble side (as in the original pics), meaning the strings aren't referenced to...
For clarity: Pickups made by the man Bill Lawrence (and his family) are available at https://www.wildepickups.com/. The other site is a company who owns the rights to the name & makes pickups. This...
Wow! That name is a blast from the past! I happened upon a Givson acoustic guitar at the Aloha Stadium Swap Meet in the mid-80s. Horrible sunburst finish, no center interior backstrip; just cleats,...
They're Strat-sized, but you might need to "finesse" the scratchplate due to slight differences amongst the many brands. I just purchased a couple of cheap 4-pole single coil tenor guitar pickups to...
Mine came with generic steel strings, but I swapped them out for D'Addario Chrome Flatwounds and never looked back. :)
Looks like one of P.W. Crump's instruments. www.pwcrumpco.com
A favorite of mine, and nicely done!
The terminology used in describing mandolin-family instruments is historically confusing. There's a good read here: http://banjolin.co.uk/mandola/index.htm which gives an explanation I can live with....
Might’ve been simpler to post the link: https://reverb.com/item/37817259-gibson-custom-randy-wood-a-5-mandolin?show_sold=true and say “Are any of you willing to fix my mandolin?” ;)
I did some digging and found this story. Although it’s sad, it paints a nice picture of who Ken Donnell is. I think this merits mention to the Cafe’ family....
There’s a short thread from 2010 here: https://www.thegearpage.net/board/index.php?threads/boss-ac-2-vs-ac-3.686188/
The final poster says the model 3 is far superior in modeling.

Go here: http://emando.com/shop/strings_zouk.htm Lots of choices, and the service is excellent. As noted on the page, the default is ball-end; you have to choose loop-end. :)
