Maybe meeting in person some of you fine folks that I have only spoken to online.
Sitting in a pub at a session with a lovely pint of Guinness in front of me - trust me to move home after 12 years away and all the pubs are closed!
Live sessions. We used to have the option to play a different session nearly every night of the week. And "band camp" -- and all the other stuff like visiting with family. I've seen my granddaughter...
Maybe in this order:
Inviting some friends round for a backyard/garden session.
Getting back to local pub sessions.
Seeing how my newish Eastman 815pge works in a ceilidh band setting when...
Live music, playing it or watching it.
Spring -- it's still dadburned cold in Ottawa.

I decided that 2021 would be The Year of the Mandolin for me, and that I’d take my playing to another level (so far it’s working). I also decided my mandolin needed a name. I’m a huge Tolkien/Lord of...
Heh.
You learn really quickly that all those riffs you have internalized in your fingers from guitar playing sound dreadful on a mando...
Nice tremolo and cross picking.
D.H.
It came out good. I like the beginning now, too.
Looking forward to the next one :mandosmiley:
Been having a PM conversation with Ash Telecaster about music theory. Ash, I hope you don't mind me quoting you here :mandosmiley:
Just noticed: "This item cannot be shipped internationally." Wonder why? It's already traveled intergalactically.

I wonder how someone sync's the studio guitar and mandolin with the video. Nicely done. But in listening with the headphones, this is obviously not recorded outdoors.
And to continue, this wizard...
