That has a very suspicious similarity to the saddest ukulele I ever bought. The unique pear shape, coloring, and f-holes look the same, as do the various bits of hardware. Not saying it's a sad...
I have a walnut backed Big Muddy ("primitive build"), and in general I favor it over my Eastman MD315 ( see avatar).
Great instrument and a bargain even at brand new price.

There are some great LIGHT WEIGHT solid state amps now, with tone about as nice as tube amps. Try a Fender Tone Master Deluxe Reverb or Twin Reverb.

The Martin Custom Shop made the D-28 but with a torrified Sitka Spruce top and Cocobolo back/sides.
