I’ve never played or even seen a Stradolin. Would an enthusiast say that a good SOL sounds great…or that it sounds great for the money? I mean no offense to anyone or any mandolin.
That is a nice sounding mandolin, but Colin makes them all sound really good. Check his other videos: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=colin+botts
Very nice, John! You pick good ones and play them well.
Hey, I think I was in Bruce’s shop when he was working on your inlay! Very nice!
Bruce is the best! How do you like that Bighorn? I remember when you bought it…I had my eye in it, too.
You never disappoint,Frank!
Gorgeous instrument, visually and sonically! And what a venue! Congratulations, Jo!
Really nice, Jesse! Great tune, great rendition.
Nice everything!!!

Thank you, Doug. I cannot figure out what I am doing wrong with posting an MP3. It doesn’t play for me.
That “not human” backup is Strum Machine, btw.
One more time…

I’m sorry, I give up.
I bought a 1910 Gibson A from the classified recently, thinking all paddleheads were built with a 1-3/6” nut width. As soon as I opened the case, I could see that this one had a narrow nut. 1-1/8”...
Reviving this one in a new format.

I can’t get that site to load at all. I’m in Montana…where, btw, it was -37f this morning.
While I was enjoying listening to Flatwater Fran from Colin Botts, this gem popped in from him! An original waltz named for his eldest daughter.

I’m working on this tune myself. My version will not come close to this extravaganza! But I still love it and I’m so glad I passed it on to Colin. He does this to me all the time!!!
Ooh, I’ve been waiting for this one! Just gorgeous. Thank you!
Well, NOT Silent Night.;)
My thoughts exactly! Beautiful!
That was so satisfying, Keith! Lovely job.
Skip the scroll. Go for an A model. Especially in your price range. I expect others will tell you the same.
