    Re: BR-40T vs BR-70T?

Yes indeed there are lots of very emotive opinions around, I try to steer away from such discussions about tone wood, laminate v solid and such like.
I am quite happy to let folk decide or believe...

    Re: Fletcher tenor guitars?

Only my personal opinion but I think a 23” inch scale is more suitable for GDAE and 21” scale is just perfect for CGDA.

    Re: Baritone Ukulele in GDAE

CGDA on a 20” baritone ukulele is not as easy as GDAE to get it sounding good but in theory C 38w G 28w D 30p A.20p will give around 55lb of tension.
I set up my own 20” scale uke in GDAE with...

    Re: Ideal scale length

I am much more comfortable using a 20 -21” scale for CGDA, it just makes the tension more even and relaxed.
I personally think GDAE works better on a 22-24” scale otherwise the G feels...

  11. Re: Are there tenors (CGDA) built for gut/nylon strings (not ukes

Yes there are classical tenor guitars available, the one you linked has a very wide neck that might be ok for you if you are coming from a six string background but, otherwise may be quite difficult...

Re: tenor guitar strings for GDAE tunning

Some tenor guitars use a tailpiece and could use loop ends.
I guess if you were mega keen you could remove the balls from old strings and fit them to loop end strings but buying single guitar...

    Re: A string breaking...often

It wont make any difference if the sting is 8-9 -10 -11 the pull weight will be more but the the tension will still be near the breaking stain ….. most folk use .10.

    Re: A string breaking...often

Yep a very common problem with the A string on 23” tenors, the easy way out is to change the tuning from CGDA to GDAE.
You would require new strings 12p 20w 30w 45w but you can persevere with the...
