    "Flatwound" strings are polished smooth, (so there's less finger noise) & you can't see the windings. Some guitar string brands have different colour ball ends....but if the strings are silk...

    That's right, but he was also a musician. IMO there's something to the design of benchmark instruments; the F5 for example and the Martin OM. Changing the body depth changes an instrument's tonal...

    5 years ago was 2018.... my F5 artist was $11k in 2009. I'm pretty sure Michael's A models weren't $5k, because I bought an Ellis from Tom in 2011 for $5.8k because I couldn't afford the Heiden A....
