I have them on my L&H, and have used them on another oval, but no, not very loud and not bright enough for bluegrass is my impression. They sound like flatwounds. As for durability? I don't know...
+1 almost as accurate as the Peterson, lighter, smaller and cheaper. Especially if you use the strobe, the accuracy increases.

No, but then I never got around to naming my children either.
In past times the winding sometimes came loose from the core wire when the wire got damaged in few spots by strong fretting or damage by bending the same string at the same spot. The string would not...
Not all mandolins made of wood have "warmth"... some brighter, some tinnier, some metallic... at the end of the day it's all about finding an instrument that suits you... at least until MAS strikes...
No reason why a carbon fiber mandolin can't have "the warmth".

Thanks, I think (ignoring possible irony and/or sarcasm), but you can set your sights a little higher. ;) :whistling:
The next step is to apply to film festivals. A good festival can help a film to build awareness and also to connect with distribution channels. But top festivals will only screen a film if they are...

I have one and love it, but it doesn't have rebverb, which the OP wants.

I wish all builders did that, though I think his annual batches may be unique?...
Just open it up already!!!!
I love the Cooperstand Pro Mini. It looks very nice and wooden and is so small I can fit it in most of my mandolin cases and gig bags. 191515
Any time!
The magic is when the masters play fast/difficult but doesn't seem it. Ricky Skaggs, Mark O'Connor, etc. A little clip where I'm working up a Sam Bush bit with a metronome. It's OK-ish, but at the...

Hi all:
I know this Christmas and Holiday season won't be the best for everybody, but I'm still wishing you just that; the very best possible.
People here have shared everything from wonderous...
Congrats !
I am happy for you! What a great mandolin and it looks great!
Wow, that's a beauty. One of the nicest mandolins I've heard is an MF. And yes, some Collings ring out different. When you find one and are able to afford it, grab it. Glad you did.
