    well, a narrower nut width can help when it comes to the G and D string, as you reach in both directions on the fretboard. I have a 1" nut width on my mando, and I like that.

    There is a Bulldog econo F that just appeared in the classifieds for $1300. I can attest to the fact that Bulldog mandolins are excellent instruments.
