We went to Bob Wills Days 2023. We camped maybe 20 miles away at beautiful Caprock Canyon SP. The festival was fun but I don’t believe it’s as big as maybe before. I was not aware of any...
Turkey, Texas is a wide spot in the road, not much there normally, as far as I can recall. I haven't been there in many years, but we used to play them in baseball and basketball back in the late...
The Montana Fiddle Camp is well-run and in a great venue. How can you go wrong with instructors like Redd Volkaert & my friend Paul Glasse, for that weekend?
Here's the CBS interview with Sierra.

It's been a while since my last Beatles arrangement. Here's what I came up with the other day for their song "In My Life."
I did all the past Beatles arrangements on mandola, but for some reason...
Huh. How about that? Well, I'm here to learn, as well as share what I've learned. So thanks for that. Seems United also breaks hearts. :(
Proud to have been knowing Tommy since the 1970s and to call him a friend! He was an informative, enthusiastic and invaluable councilor on a bigtime mandolin purchase I made a coupla years back.
May you have a warm, happy and lovely birthday.
One of his wonderful songs, sadly never on an album.

I like the Unitune but still have occasional problems in direct sun when batteries get low.
I have a few D’Addario micro tuners and they are generally hard to see in sunlight, but the micro unit...
Peterson stroboclip for me. They have a new chargeable one with a color screen. Not sure how it does in full sunlight, but the current one is great.
I like the Peterson StroboClip. Pricey, but it's a great strobe tuner that is the best I've found, and it has good visibility.

Nugs is a subscription streaming service that focuses on live music. They have some albums, but it's mostly live recordings like grateful dead, pearl jam, and billy strings.

I have been using iReal Pro with BlueStacks on a Windows 10 PC successfully for a couple of years. I did create the iReal Pro account on an Android phone first.
I have tried that and was unable to get it in a workable condition on my laptop. I have stuck to using it on the phone, when I use it which is rarely.
Chrome Industries makes very durable bags, AFAIK it’s still a bike messenger favorite.
Besides the Tonematch, how much gear are we talking about? For mandolin gigs I use an old camera backpack with different compartments designed to protect lenses. I carry my clip on mic, my preamp...
A nice tribute to a wonderful fella.
A fitting tribute to Alan, Jim :mandosmiley:
