Just a test to see if I can upload an mp3.
Rob, there isn't anything attached. I believe the way it's done here, is you have to go to reply to thread, advanced reply, and scroll down to 'manage attachments', click that, and then find your mp3 on your computer and attach.
Rob,
I tried to upload an mp3 a while back and found I too could not get it to load. I contacted Scott and he offered several suggestions, including even sending it to him and he'd try to post it, but I solved the problem by removing the spaces in my mp3 title. Got this idea from help forum via Google. Seems some browsers do not like spaces!
I have only put one mp3 up this way so far, and would need to go back to remember how to do it, but the title problem certainly solved my case.
HTH,
John
Hi Rob,
Just been on the Song-A-Week group and saw that this week's is Planxty Irwin, so I have dug out an mp3 of this I recorded a while back and am posting it (I hope) to try out the system again. Double tracked with melody and chords both played on one of my own builds.
Fingers crossed!
Do you know, is it possible to post a video file here? Or are they too big?
I always struggle with how to get this attachment on my MAC, it downloads with an .html and I can't remember how to get rid of it!
Caffeine kicked in, and I figured it out! Great recording of Planxty Irwin!
Rob, right under 'manage attachments' it has this:
Valid file extensions: mp doc gif jpe jpeg jpg mp3 pdf png tef txt
So, it doesn't look like videos are supported here.
Here is one example of a way to back up Planxty Irwin.

quick recording of St Patrick's Day/Gary Owen medley on mandolin and tenor banjo. Good pair of tunes, Barbara! Just acquired new Camcorder which records files in Mpeg4 format and Windows Movie Maker cannot handle them, so learning new skills to convert them to suitable format.
