Chris has been "trying" to retire for years. He has done a great job of running that company through troubled times as well as good times and I hope he has a great retirement!
Martin is a great American company that makes great products. I did the tour last year and it was a lot of fun. I wish them well. Thanks for posting this.
Doing a Recruitment so send in your CV..
If you don't know, Chris' daughter is named Claire Frances Martin. (Thinking ahead?)
Ha! It can't hurt.
But there is a clue to a possible successor in this short interview with Chris Martin IV that I did for WLVR the day he announced his retirement. Before you hit play, guess what song we go out on... WLVR.ORG
I thought it was going to be the D-18 Song(Thank You Mr. Martin) Oh well, The Weight works too! Thanks Brad and thank you Mr. Martin!
He looks too young to retire.....
A Work to the coffin life is unappealing... :disbelief:
Chris is rather boyish looking. I hope we get to do a longer interview and in person if we can beat this damn virus before next summer when he 'steps down' as CEO. A lot of interesting business questions around such a long family held business. They employ about 500 people almost all in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.
HERE AGAIN IS MY SHORT RADIO INTERVIEW THE DAY OF HIS RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT.
Most people on their death beds don't say, "I wish I would have spent more time at work." Einstein was working while he was in his death bed, so there are exceptions to everything. Yep, if you are enjoying IT more than anything else, why not keep doing IT?
