Collings Varnished Mandola
Well, we thought it would be here by Xmas, but slight snag and she is back in the cure booth in Austin. They close for the holiday break (I am sure it is a well deserved break) and I'd expect I'll see this second week of January. But Mark was kind enough to give me a few quick pics to stop my sobbing.Attachment 95606
and yes, that is a one piece back. They pulled out all the stops, James tailpiece, pick guard, and pearl button waverlys (which put some wait time on the build)

Beautiful sunburst, like a sunset over the water . . .
I bet the photos help AND hurt.

Clark, I will soldier on. At least we didn't have to start over, and after all that's going on in the world, this is small stuff. As they say, "No harm, no foul." And it is right purty.

Hoping this is the week.....
Re: Collings Varnished Mandola
Wow, VERY nice. You have to be pretty excited. I have also purchased a Collings mando and should receive it anytime. I ordered it back in October and hope to see it in the next couple weeks. Anticipation is killing me!! I am sure it will be well worth the wait.
