St. Anne's Reel /// Original Performance
Hi Everyone,
This is my first post on the forum. I thought this would be the appropriate place to share this video. I have been playing mandolin since June and decided it was time to share some videos of me playing tunes. I decided to start with St. Anne's Reel since it has one of the most beautiful melodies in a fiddle tune. I hope you all enjoy it and would love to hear your thoughts.
For those of you into gear and the tech side of things. This is played on my 2020 Northfield Big Mon. This mandolin is sporting a Tone Gard, McClung armrest, and some Cumberland Acoustic Harmonic Suppressors. I recorded this using a SE Electronics sE2300 Large Diaphragm Condenser, through a JHS Colour Box V2, and into Logic Pro X.
Enjoy!

Re: St. Anne's Reel /// Original Performance
You started playing in June 2020 - you're sounding great for six months playing! Cheers.
Re: St. Anne's Reel /// Original Performance
A great piece of playing,David, and especially since you have not long started on mandolin. You include some interesting variations too before returning to the tune.
