A recent pair of tenor guitars
It's not possible to photograph every instrument I make, but I did have time to snap this pair. The Parlour King is headed to Melbourne, the Session King is bound for England. Both 22" scale, both tuned GDAE. The Session King has a torrefied sitka top. Both guitars have mahogany back and sides, and a New Guinea rosewood neck. The T-SK has a banjo head and tuners, the T-PK has a guitar style headstock and tuners. Both guitars have the lovely ebony backstrap.

That banjo head is really neat! I like the looks.
Re: A recent pair of tenor guitars
Nigel it looks like you gave up a promising career in photography to become a luthier. You chose well :-) 2 lovely guitars!

You're too generous - I do it all on automatic settings on an old Panasonic camera and with the regular LED lights in our spare room. I realised I had to learn how to do it when I lived in Germany. It was going to cost €900 for half a day for a professional.
Re: A recent pair of tenor guitars
You produce such consistently excellent work, Nigel. As Harley says, your photography is also first rate.
Re: A recent pair of tenor guitars
I'm glad I logged on and saw this post. Those look beautiful. I'd love to hear the Parlour King play.
Re: A recent pair of tenor guitars
Do you have any sound samples of your recent works?
Visually stunning, I love the understated, almost stealth looks!
Happy pickin!

Not the exact same instruments - I can't record them all, I'm too busy, but they sound pretty consistent.
