Carter Vintage is relocating
Announced in a couple of Nashville online journals back in early February. New location is essentially across the street in a space with more square footage.
Musical instrument retailer to relocate within Gulch - Carter Vintage Guitars will take space at SomeraRoad’s mixed-use Paseo development
Re: Carter Vintage is relocating
As long as they're still close to that amazing "meat+3" place, it's fine with me!
Re: Carter Vintage is relocating
Unfortunately, Arnold's Country Kitchen -- the "meat+3" place next to Carter's -- recently closed:

Re: Carter Vintage is relocating
I'll join in the chorus of grief for the passing of Arnold's Country Kitchen, a real American classic. I loved this place so much. I always stopped there when in Nashville. I do hope they find a way to open a similar establishment in the future.
Oh yeah and good luck to Carter's on their move!
Re: Carter Vintage is relocating
For all you Arnold's fans there is always the amazing Monell's in Germantown or the famous Loveless Cafe... both stellar places to eat in and near Nashville.
Re: Carter Vintage is relocating
It is great to know they will have more space, hopefully to display things better. While the old store was great and huge by most standards, the instruments were hung too close together to be properly displayed, IMHO. The super-rare and expensive instruments had adequate display space, but the more common ($1-10K price range) instruments were hung inches from each other and required a lot of concentration to focus on a single instrument, due to the sheer amount of instruments. I forgot how many Walter told me, but picture 10X what Guitar Center has.
I was also an Arnold's fan. :crying:

I don't mind taking the time to just stand there & look, but the inches apart thing would make me worry about accidentally dinging an instrument, even if it was one of those cheapo $10K jobs.
Re: Carter Vintage is relocating
Ahhhh the mind pictures ... and cartoons of Carter's moving across the street involve guitars, mandolins, banjos, dobros, and amps shuffling in the crosswalk or standing and waiting for the "walk in green". Please some cartoonist send us a rescue....... R/
