Beautiful playing on a very lovely instrument.
Thanks for sharing.
Wonderful Jill. Congratulations on that lovely instrument well played by You,
Ryk
That sounds so wonderful!
The playing is pretty good too. Nice song to choose for the first on this new to you tenor!
Cheers folks! I've been a fan of Frank's instruments for a long time so I'm over the moon to finally own one meself! The workmanship is flawless, hands down one of the most beautifully made and sounding instruments I've owned!
Good for you! Looks a very nice instrument.
Mahogany top?
Wonderful! What is the scale length, Jill?
Ohhh well done!!
I think his instruments sound great. You've probably seen this two mandolin set featuring the 'blue' mandolin he made.

Well done; both the aquisition and the music!
Lovely instrument and performance. I've heard a few of Frank Tate's mandolins and a guitar in the exceptionally talented hands of Ye Vagabonds, live in small venues here in Scotland. Beautiful things. I think Brian McGloinn was making his own instrument guided by Frank Tate last year - don't know how that has been going.
The tenor here slightly reminds me of a 50's Gibson tenor that my brother in law Tim Jones owns.
best wishes
Kevin
Nicely done Jill. I've a huge soft spot for tunes that go right down to the bottom range of the instrument & that guitar is well able for it.
A nice idea - the old irish coinage was a delight of design, leaping salmon and suchlike...
best Kevin
Great playing and sound, Jill. Lovely instrument you have there.
Inspirational Jill. I hope you do another video session with the Tate tenor. Does it really have a hole in the upper bout?
This tune may be added to my list! A nice one indeed.
Lovely guitar and tune. Congratulations.
Great tenor and a great tune Jill! I'll have to steal it and rename it "chicken in the kitchen". ;)
I found this podcast by Frank last night. Good listening.
