Re: Case for Martin tenor
You could look for a 3/4 size guitar case.
Re: Case for Martin tenor
The 2 Martin Mini cases on this page will fit - they're made for the size 5 body. Not cheap, but.... Ko'olau (Pono) makes (made?) a case for its size 5 tenor guitars & octave mandos - that's what I got for my 5-17T, and it also fits like a glove.
Re: Case for Martin tenor
Here are the dimensions of a Baby Taylor HSC in the classifieds guitar accessories. Yes, it's my ad :).
Approximate interior measurements in inches:
Total length: 34.5
Body cavity: 16
Upper bout: 9.25
Lower bout: 12.375
Waist: 8.75
Depth: 2.5 plus 1 in the lid
Re: Case for Martin tenor
Just a plug (NFI) for Elderly's phone service:
When looking for a case for my Martin tiple (10-string, baritone uke-size body, 12-string size headstock), the phone guy at Elderly pulled one of their two from stock and tried a bunch of cases. Didn't pan out, but the 15-minute phone call was both impressive and memorable.
Re: Case for Martin tenor
To follow up on responses above, I previously reached out to Pono about a case but did not hear back from them. I looked at several cases for smaller guitars and felt they they were all too big, although they could have been made to work with a lot of padding. The baby taylor case seems to have insufficient depth (the Martin tenor guitar depth is 3-3/4" without the bridge; case depth is 3.5".) The Martin cases were too costly ($475 at Elderly). Although I would have preferred a bona fide hardshell rather than the hard foam case, this one had the best fit and the price was right.
A hard case for the GS mini would have worked, but Sweetwater says the GS mini is sold with a "hardbag", which seems to be what I got.
