Beautiful. Great setting with the snowy background, anybody know where it is?
It would sound better if Aoife pronounced the words clearly, it sounds like she's mumbling it.

Very much enjoyed this. Thanks!
I love these two together - they'd make a great duo album if they felt so inclined (and I hope one day they do)
I genuinely love to hear this woman sing and play. Clear ringing tones , works the mic well, does not over play her instrument ...... any time I take the time I feel rewarded. Thanks for posting this. R/
I absolutely love the way Aoife sings this!
In another video, they mention it's "Celebrity Series Of Boston" and filmed just west of Boston
The channel has three more of her songs, as well!

This is lovely, for sure. My favorite rendition aside from Paul Brady's is on a 1980 LP by Trapezoid and sung as a duet by Lorraine Duisit and Freyda Epstein. It never fails to bring tears to my eyes. Lorraine is an excellent mandolinist and was the class assistant for the one and only class at Augusta Heritage Arts Workshops taught by Jethro Burns. I got to hang with her and Freyda during that week. Sadly Freyda died in a car crash in 2003.

Wow! Just wow. Thanks for posting that Jim- RR
I became aware of the song through this version and it remains my all time favorite. It's from a Watkins Family Hour concert in L.A. (and hence connections to both Chris and Aoife) with Gemma Hayes singing. Benmont Tench on piano, Michael Witcher on dobro in addition to Sean Watkins on guitar and Sara Watkins on fiddle and BG vocals.
