Yeah, he was plugging these at Delfest. No thanks, Blue Chip is the one for me. Purchased two BC's a long LONG time ago and they are as solid as a rock.
Plain and simple -- which pre-amp pedal currently has space on your board?
For me, it's currently the K&K internal with the Radial Tonebone, but these Grace Design preamps sound pretty nice from...
They look like Grover -- worm unders. Based on the pattern....
Hello!
I have a 2010-ish Weber Special edition (f) and it sounds absolutely fantastic -- but I would like to look into a Tuner Upgrade or Replacement. Are these mostly a drop-in replacement? Are...
I am intrigued......the moongazer saddles were a little too wonky for me, but tell me about the armadillo ones.
And yes, I agree.....if someone made an ashtray cover for these bad boys that would...
I gots me one of the Blue ones. I'm going to send it into the shop for a little TLC, and I ordered some new heavier strings that *should work well with the octave mandolin tuning. I used the EASTMAN...
Hello!
As a sweaty handed feller, the gloss on my Weber Coyote gets a bit sticky at times. Looking for some advice about a speed neck process. Is it just a sand down (gently) with super fine (or...
Hook me up! Those sweaty hands of mine make mine tarnish in no time!
Happy Holidays Everyone!
So long story short, I break strings.
Occasionally on-stage, I completely shredded a d string once, but breakage mostly occurs when I put new ones on and tune up. Most frequent? The A and E...

I've posted, entered, faxed, copied, and stamped in triplicate!
Exactly. I have a K&K twin spot in my Weber Coyote and ran it through my Fishman plat pro preamp for a few gigs then changed over to the Pure XLR. Night and day difference. Go with the matched...
After contacting Tom at Moongazer and getting the correct specs for the bridge height screws (M3 - 10mm), I decided to order a set of M3's that were 6mm in length. I am hopeful that this will solve...
Hello forum, I have encountered a problem with my frequent play with my mando-strat. I have a habit of resting the corner of my right hand palm on my solid-body guitars, and this habit has...
Mods, this was a double post. Please delete. Thanks!
I'm sure anyone can use any type of pots, 1/4" jack, and wiring. But I did business with RS in the past, and since I'm not very good at hooking up these types of setups, I called them up and they...
I found out that my martin backpacker mandolin gig-bag is a little tight, but it works. Hopefully someone will come up with something soon.
Good luck with your mando-strat!
TJ How would you describe the difference in the pickups??
The stock one was kinda flat and quacky on the high end, the Almuse is much more balanced over the four strings. Nothing sounds flat -...
I think it was the 4 saddle bridge for the new mando strat, if you have any questions, just shoot an email to Tom at moongazer, he was quite helpful. So after checking the website, I'm going to go +1...
Yeah, the bridge is a drop in replacement and it improves playability a ton. You can dial in string height and adjust intonation properly.
Amazon - like $6 for two tones and a volume.

So I purchased a stock fender Mando Strat from Sam Ash and I made the following upgrades. The sound improvement is very noticeable and overall the mando is much more playable. Here is what I did.

Yeah....the bridge is the majority of my concern. This bad boy really either needs a cover or a more fine tuning/intonation adjustment option. I think I will check out the one from Moongazer. Thanks!
