Epic!
Incredible! That's the stuff of dreams right there!
Agreed, good find!
See you there Josh!
Thanks! The artwork is from Noah’s father, Alan Fishman: https://instagram.com/alanfishmanstudio

Happy listening,

Thanks y’all! It’s always fun making music with Noah!
Yes, it looks like I dropped the ball on Safe Harbor Rag. I learned it as being from the repertoire of Dick Walton and not that he has...
Thanks Keith!
Happy picking,
Baron
I plan to be there next year, can't wait to check it out as I've heard such good things for so many years!
Thanks,
Baron
I spend 95% of my chording/accompaniment time playing double stops on the G and D strings exclusively. For example, a 75XX G chop chord, 52XX C chop, and 74XX D chop. I leave out the higher strings...
Really looking forward to this, hope to meet some of you there!
Thanks
Baron
That's a beaut! I bet Calton or MainStage would make you a flight case

That's a mandola made by Lawerence Smart. I think he's had it for many years but it doesn't make that many appearances.
Thanks,
Baron
I saw that crossrock seems to be working on a dola case, I hope it comes out soon!
That’s a beauty! I imagine you could get it appraised by Gryphon Strings or The Music Emporium or another well respected shop. What part of the country/world are you in? I have an early 80s 10 string...
Update, I just tried GCGE and it is *very* fun. Thanks fore the inspiring question!
Baron
GCGC is fun, and I've never tried it but GCGE would be quite interesting!
A quick way to try this out is to string a mandola with light gauge mandolin strings tuned to FCGD (terraces step down from mandolin) and then put a capo on the second fret.
If you want to do...
That’s a beaut and sounds great too! I love a good ten string!
I’ve got a 10 string K-5 from Lawrence Smart that I adore. I’m sure he’d make an 8 string if he hasn’t already!

You should check out his TikTok, he’s on fire over there! 🤣
Science aside (and I'm generally in the camp of instruments *do* open up), if you (rather than a machine) put the requisite energy into the instrument yourself you'll be able to pull better tone out...
I haven't done it or researched for an emando, but if you want to go hard case I've used several plano rifle cases for electric tenor guitars. They may make one the right size for a mandocaster.
