Hey Darren,
I've been wondering where you went off to. It's good to have you back!
Micah
What? Is it a coupon for a free $5,000 mandolin? I need to go to the music store real quick.
Micah
By looking at the fretboard, it looks like it joins at the 12th fret like a standard A4. #
But I may be wrong.

There are inspection mirrors like this one that are normally used for this tye of thing. They cost about $5 -$10 at a hardware store.
As for the light, you can probably just put your mandolin next...
One of my dreams is to run my whole shop off of treadles and (if I build one next to a river) to run the bigger saws, buffers, etc. off of a water wheel.
Why is it that people are always looking...

I've been trying to thing of a lower budget cradle for when I start to build from scratch. Then today I saw this. What are the pros and cons of this?
I started this because I didn't want to hijack the other thread...

I hate cars!
Wow, $40 for a movie? Over here it's $7 a ticket plus about $7-8 for a medium bag of popcorn. And over at the IMAX, $10 a ticket is expensive to us.
I think I'd rather just sit and pick for free.
Of course there's the frog also.
Those little buggers clamp on them hairs pretty tight.I wonder how long it takes the bow makers to find a horse with a frog attached to it's tail?
I would put in an order except that my dad wants me to save up for a car. #http://www.mandolincafe.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/mad.gif
Who wants a car when you can get an indestructable mandolin...
Oh,
I found another one. This one is a Gibson copy.
One more.
