I agree. The tuners alone are a $400-500 upgrade. $4000 would be a good price.
I bought a used 1982 lefty Monteleone Grand Artist (his first lefty) in 1986 for $2800. That was a lot of money then and a lot of money now. I'm pretty it has more than held its' value. But, I...
My 2000 Woodley F5 lefty was ordered through The Twelfth Fret in Ontario. You might try contacting David Wren and see if he knows what happened to Doug. You are correct about Woodley mandolins. ...
My 1975 lefty A model also says Happy Birthday!
I read somewhere that Bill signed a bunch of labels that were put in instruments after his passing. Once they were used up, unsigned labels were glued in.
Absolutely! Lefty instrument dealer, Jerry Welch is righthanded but had an right hand injury as a carpenter. So, he switched to playing left handed. I am sure there are others out there who have...

This is a decent priced dependable guitar/mandolin stand that has no mechanical parts to break and is extremely stable. It can adjusted up for a guitar or adjusted down for a mandolin. I have...
I bought a new lefty 1975 Martin A model from Stan Jay at Mandolin Bros. in 1977 for the outrageous price of $275! It was sweet sounding, but I could never get it to intonate up the neck until...

Here's a twist, my '82 lefty GA. Not for sale!
David Grisman was the first prominent player to use a Grand Artist. He probably still has one in his collection. Mike Marshall also played a GA, still plays a Monteleone mandocello. I have a lefty...
In 1986, I convinced my future ex-wife to let me buy a used mandolin for $2800. I convinced her that it was an investment. Using an inflation calculator, the mandolin would cost $6300 in 2018. ...
I have this Hercules iPad Air 2 holder. Comes with a mic stand holder and a desk stand.

Not in Houston, gig is at MacKenzie's Pub in Beaumont, TX.
Suggestions for Irish songs for a St. Patrick's Day gig, please!
I use the Red Eye Twin so I can switch between my mandolin and guitar. It really is all that!
My used Collings MT came without a pickguard. It had a shiny spot worn in the satin finish below the strings so I had a pickguard installed to hide it. Plus, I like having a fingerrest.
You need the StrapKeeper.

Glad to hear this. My group uses a QSC Touchmix 16 and except for some minor glitches, we have had success using it for gigs.
Thanks for the update!
I like this one!
