    I had Johannson mandolins do it, he does a great job with the staining too. It’s a spirit varnish finish

    I had the top refinished and hand stained as well. The mandolin suffered an ugly setback when the case got opened too soon. Normally I don’t mind lacquer cracking but this was too much for me. But...
