The only bluegrass tune I know is cripple creek, so I wouldn't say that I play bluegrass
I mostly play Swedish and Celtic folk music, as well as some folk pop.

It has a bit of a thin sound, but it sounds decent to me. The tune is really nice, though. Did you write it?
Thanks a lot!
The lining pushes into the bridge and strings a tiny bit, but the case closes with ease and the sides stay perfectly flat so I guess I'll be okay.
That doesn't sound good...
I just bought a cheap hardcase for my cheap mandolin. Turns out that it's flat top and bottom, which doesn't seem ideal from what I've gathered, but can this cause any harm towards the instrument...
I have a friend who is thinking about switching up to an Eastman MD305. The problem is, he can't seem to find any Europe-based retailers and he would prefer to not order from USA (due to quite high...
I removed them one by one, so I don't think it moved.
Don't think it's a wolf tone, as it happens to some extent on all the strings
I googled further on the subject and it seems like it's sympathetic vibrations. I have no idea how to solve...
I hope it's just that.. Thanks!
It seems that my mandolin has recently developed the belief that it's a hardanger fiddle. This happened after a recent string change (first string change in two years). Same string gauge as before...
Mandolinism definitely is contagious. When I started out, I didn't know any mandolin players, but now 2 of my friends and 1 acquaintance plays it.
No names for my mandolins, but I've named my mandola Nelson. Nelson Mandola.
Took a photo of my folk duo a few days ago. And I must say it's relevant:

Levin Octave Mandolin. Sadly, the neck is not in too good...
I can barely seem to find any decent mandolins in instrument stores around here (I'm looking to upgrade), so I was hoping that anyone on here knew a good store to buy one in :mandosmiley:
Got it! Apparently, Sam Bush's music was added not too long ago. Made my day!
I'm an atheist, but that was great.
Must say that the new verse for Oh When The Saints was genius, too :)
That's a real beauty! The finish is very beautiful.
Congratulations on the purchase!
Also, sound clip would be very appreciated :)
We'll probably watch a movie and snuggle. My fiancée might join in too.
Looks and sounds really good! Nice job!
I'm afraid the guitar-shaped body wont exactly help when it comes to people asking "oh, you play ukulele?" though :P
Sounds really good all of it!
And I agree, gotta love the chop fiddle.
M510DVS, right?
Same mandolin as me, albeit in a different finish. Quite good starter mandolin :) best I've played in that price class. Congratulations on having a mando!
Real nice-looking instruments! Wouldn't say no to a watermelon mando. But still, cheese mando is just plain weird.
Now, I don't know anything about sport. But who would think of making a cheese-mandolin?
I could imagine the conversation with the luthier: "Hello, I would like a mandolin. Oh, here's the catch -...
Gotta quote this^
I've played on and off for two years, and I'm not even close to playing like that, maybe it's my lack of beard. Wow, four months. You sir, are awesome. And the mandolin's a real...
That's really sad. I hope he recovers well!
Damn fingers hindering mandolin playing!
At least three hours+ is great :)
