As I matter of fact, I don't like chop chords either. Awful voicings in my book, but then I don't play BG. Not absolutely certain, but I don't think Jethro cared much for them.

In general, I dislike all percussion, with the possible exception of the tabla and the tasteful use of brushes for jazz. Otherwise, I can't stand all that banging.

In "Mastering the Mandolin" Simon Mayor recommends that tremolo be from the elbow in order to achieve more controlled dynamics. Well, my heart sank as I read this. Anyone have any thoughts?
