I started mandolin 6 years ago at 65. I love the GRETSCH NEW YORKER. I have no idea of the Kentucky. I have been a guitarist for over 50 years. Try it an see if you like it.

I love my GRETSCH NEW YORKER that I got 6 years ago for $230.00. I am a long time guitarist (over 50 years) but love the mandolin & recommend this Gretsch to anyone.
