Exactly. Bob Benedetto built a nice archtop from "pallet wood" that sounded almost as nice as his normal guitars made from high dollar tonewoods.

Still cheaper than a Gibson or other American made brands.

I own an AR-804 (oval hole archtop) and an AR-810. Both are excellent guitars. I've had guys who own Gibson L-5's ask if I would sell them....

I've used Duco in the green & yellow tube for 45 years to repair degrading binding or to reglue. I've never diluted it.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Never use window cleaner on ANY musical instrument - especially a vintage one. YE GODS!

The strings are literally the cheapest thing on the instrument - a quarter's worth of wire.
Replace the string, then if the problem persists - see a competent and experienced luthier.

Then explain this Tele body a friend finished in TruOil.
You don't get that shine from a hard rubber stage.

Are you thinking of Watco oil finishes, which remain soft?
TruOil does get hard, provided it's applied properly in very thin coats.

Untrue. I've done it, and so have others.

Next time don't use a rag. Use a sponge, and squeeze most of the water out of it first.
