yup - another sideways picker. i chop and change between a few instruments and alternate between dunlop nylon 1mm, .88, and the thinner ones, all with the fat end.

if i'm reading the original post right, my advice would be to play guitar and mando with the same orientation, whichever way you decide. i can't see it'll hasten your development on either instrument...
