I too am digging the M150s. I keep one with each mando and another in my keychain pick case. Tough little buggers.

    Re: Wildfire....?

Last time I saw Wildfire it was still Robert Hale leading and Curt Chapman playing bass.

Darrell is a heck of a talent.

    Re: Wegen Picks

I've been using the M150s for a while now. Perfect feel for and tone for me. I started playing guitar a bit again and it works well on there too.

    Re: superglue neck

I think it's the nitro cellulose lacquer finish. It gets soft and almost gummy on very hot and humid days. Mine has the same issues. I've used 000 steel wool to reduce it.

For straight forward just Guitar, Mandolin, and vocals, I love the Monroe Brothers.

If you think the hat works, then try wrapping yourself in polyester and growing some long sideburns. The polyester appears to absorb any unwanted highend noise while making you sweat like the...

There are other makes with a similar quality, protection, and design.

    Re: Gibson Sam Bush strings

Of course. Unless you just like changing strings. To my ears, the Bush Monel strings do not change until they get really really old and then the unwounds just wear out.

    That reminds me, I need...

  20. Re: Recommendation for Bill Monroe Instructional Book

Another vote for 16 Gems and the Monroe Homespun video. The booklet with the Homespun is not the best, but the video of Bill playing and Sam breaking them down is excellent.
