Not this one!

Manfred,
We have just returned from all four days at Merlefest. We always get the 4 day reserved seats, but I can see arguments for unreserved too.
We camp at "Sewerfest" (Google it!). It's got RV...

This is my Ibi. She passed away last summer...but she was a great little friend and a music lover.
Happy Birthday, brother Don!
Thank you all for your kind words. My dad was as wonderful a person and father as he was a musician! Jim, what you've done with the online lessons is awesome. Love to you all.

Thank you for posting this, John! Karen Raizor is the Homer and Jethro biographer and has spent a lot of time traveling, researching archives and records, talking to people, listening to recordings....
I bet Don knows where it is.
I have his 1922 A2.
Hmm...I don't really know how it came to be and it seems like it was a one or two day project. there was a period of time around this album when Dad and Red were playing together quite a bit, a lot...
I was lucky enough to watch a good bit of this album being recorded. Dad and Red were good friends, indeed, and loved every minute they played together.

So here's part of what I DIDN'T see at Merlefest, doggone it.
RB, that was a great sum-up of the festival! I was actually at merlefest but missed Mandomania for the first time! I'm usually front and center but couldn't swing it. Too many choices to make-now...
Can anybody tell me how it was? This was the first time we've missed it!
Our wonderful public station WNCW did a little tribute to Dad yesterday. They played some Homer and Jethro and then later did a good bio and played "Idaho" and "That's a Plenty" with Don. Great...
Happy Birthday, Dad! And thanks on his behalf for all the kind words. I'm gonna get that CD out Alan, and thanks again for sending it! Love to all my mando brothers and sisters.

And let's hear it for John Miller's fine tenor on Let Me Walk Lord By Your Side in Asheville!
I must have been right behind you, Evan! What a great show.
Thanks everybody, if I wasn't sold before, I sure am now!! Can't wait.
Yes!!! First time very excited. We haven't actually registered yet but soon.
My husband and I have just about decided to finally go to Acoustic Kamp this year!! Who has been and what can I expect going in as a beginner (not level 1) and what to expect in general?
Love the name!
