Was the publish date April 1st, 1919??
I really dig the new album! Great job Andrew and Emily!
I'm thrilled there is this much chatter about Andrew's mandolin! He and Emily are an outstanding duo and I look forward to seeing them again this fall. Continue to spread the word about Mandolin...
Joe Walsh is an outstanding picker and I've been hooked on his "Sweet Loam" album for the past several months.
Looks like that's an Ellis he's playing.
Real good folks at Firehouse. The jam is welcoming to players of all skill levels. Not much fast bluegrass, but you'll have fun anyway!
Thanks for your thoughts, friends. I think I'll save myself the trouble and use the time I would've spent checking it out and fixing it up by playing the mandolin I already have :)
Wondering if you think it's worth my time and money (probably not more than $70) to check this out:

Can't seem to embed a YouTube video from my phone (maybe someone can do it for me), but here's a link to a version I did with a guitar buddy of mine. We played it in A, and I played the main riff...
I like 'em a lot. Good sound, last long. I like the wound A, as I think it provides a more even tone across strings.
I have a tone-gard and a McClung and have no problems. As far as I know, the TG differences are aesthetic only.
I know you'll enjoy your new accessories!
It might not be an indeifinite repeat, but let's hope so!
Wow. Just caught the tail end and was quite impressed with "Familiarity." Stream now says "stay tuned for replay!"
Never used a Travelite, but I like my Gator for my Girouard F with Tonegard. I'd switch to my hard-shell case if I were going to travel or in a situation in which it might get banged around, but the...
+1. Love mine too.
Try GDAE, lowest (thickest) to highest.
I love that Grisman break on Nine Pound Hammer - it's my jumping-off point when I play that song.
Armrest! I got my McClung last year as a gift :)
Thanks, Mike!
You're a musician. A mandolinist and a guitarist. Don't worry about the guitar repertoire- by playing music (any instrument), you'll be increasing your skills and your ear especially. I'm with you -...
Thanks! I looked and my public library has this book - I'm eager to start reading it!
Hi Ronski,
I bought mine for less than $200 from Tropical Music in Santurce (an area of San Juan). May not qualify as "professional-playing" caliber for you, but the playability and intonation of...
Thanks for sharing - I'm tuned in and streaming! Enjoying the great sounds and video quality :)
I assume 8pm PT?
I'm in Columbia, too, and have made it to Bill's a few times. I don't know of any other jams in the area...
Cheers!
