    Re: Your first great mandolin

Mine was a Nugget 2 point (#147). I got it in 1991. It totally changed my playing for the better. It was so awesome that I had a hard time putting it down.

Re: Mandolin armrests - Yes, No, Type?

Iíve playing mandolin for 45 years. Never used one, or felt the need for it. But to each his own, some people like all the extra gadgets. I donít think it will affect your playing either way.

    Re: Builder or Company

I think it depends on how soon you want it. If you have one built, you might have to wait a quite while. With your budget you could probably find great a used Collings , etc. and have it sooner.

Do you read music (notation)? If you do, work on sight reading and try some of the more difficult stuff like Bach cello suites, etc. . If you don’t read music, why not work on learning to? There’s...

  22. Re: Converting Right handed Mandolin to left handed

No, it was a long time ago, at least 15 years. It was back in my “catch and release “ days, I didn’t own it very long. I will look to see if I can figure out when it was
  23. Re: Converting Right handed Mandolin to left handed
