I didn't see Richard's post as I was writing mine - I was going to offer folks a PDF of the the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Association article if they want me to email it....need to pay...
Congrats Wyatt! I've been doing Chris Henry's Monroe workshop with Wyatt and when we all take our turn performing the tune of the week, I just pray that I don't have to immediately follow him! He's...
That was awesome Matthew. Musical comfort food. Well done
Hi Dina - personally I think this 1952 Gibson a-50 is a really nice option https://www.mandolincafe.com/ads/164420#164420
Fiddler's Green is asking $1200 for that one - they might be open to a...

Great tune and really nice playing. Congrats!
So many nice tributes here and on social media...links to great concert footage, cool photos. I re-read this great article in Fretboard about the history of Tony's D-28, his love for the old "Bone"...

Shaun, your Heiden sounds great! Nice playing too. What's the tune?
Mary, I played it at Wintergrass. Phenomenal instrument. I hung out with Mr. Heiden and got to play that F5 and the Heritage F5 Kritt bought and both mandolins were amazing...powerful...so touch...
I had a mental lapse and stupidly let that one go....it was an incredible instrument
...and you guys have probably already seen it, but there's a really nicely written article about Michael Heiden's career as a builder in the latest Fretboard Journal...some nice photography too
