Didge, I love my mandolin, it's just that my teacher would not like it if I only practiced the things I like. I want to be able to make music, not just the noise I hear now. After 3 years, I think I...
My goal with the mandolin is to be able to play music that I like. I want to be able to sit down and play what I hear, or make sounds that don't scare the cats away. The week before I made the...

Danny Boy aka Londonderry Air comes to mind. It's very emotional and pretty. When I play it, it's just sad(I mangle it).
I want a custom built mandolin with inlay up the neck so that anytime someone looks at it, they'll know it's mine. Something from Moonbeam Mandolins might do the trick!
We vacationed in MT a couple of years ago. It was the best vacation we ever had. The scenery was fantastic and the people were warm and friendly. Beats South FL hands down any day. I can't wait to go...

On days when I had a lesson right after work I would bring it, til a customer opened the case and started fooling around with it when I stepped out of the room(I work in a bar). So now I take my...
I picked up a Blue Chip 50 at a festival to try. I liked it so much I bought the demo I was trying and haven't used any other pick since.
