Do you happen to have a link to the article about the repair?
"Perhaps 1/4 of that on a good day."
What are you trying to say?
Based on what exactly?
When anyone starts a comment with "no disrespect" you know what is coming.
No, there are not any pre-production demos. The only 'demo" is the prototype mentioned in the other thread with all the KLOS info going back to last year.
This discussion thread should be able to get you up to speed on the latest KLOS info.

What does that have to do with the fear of money?
I don't see the correlation to this situation.
I find this very interesting.
I had a deal in place to purchase this mandolin and when I asked for his payment information he ghosted me.
Here are two videos from the Acoustic Shoppe about Hinde mandolins. Steve is doing great work and his mandolins sound great. The first video is a review of the mandolin and the second is them playing...

The 2 on the left have red spruce tops have more of a Loar like punchy midrange tone. The red one has an Engelmann top and is a little more warm and rich.
It actually says in the title of the video that it is a prototype.
That listing has ended long ago.

So.... where's the update???
You made a pretty serious accusation that the case was indeed stolen. Then you were going to "buy" in attempt to reunite it with the owner.
I believe its a 1990.
