I ordered one for stock for our store. After reading all these rave reviews I might just have to keep it.
Has anyone seen or played the new KM-1000s. They were probably unveiled last week at NAMM. Anyone know anything about them?
I downloaded a free lesson and I thought it was excellent. I got a real bluesy break in B. I gonna join!
Can anyone point me in the direction of the tab for this song? Also, is this the same song as Daybreak in Dixie? Why would it have two titles?
I'm devastated. I always looked forward to seeing him play. His style was always so fresh and unique! I will miss him immensely!
Can anyone help me out with the chord progression to this song? I know it's in Bb. It is on Bluegrass Journey and one of his CDs just not sure which one.
Does anyone know to the lyrics to Old Joe Clark as sung by Tim
O'Brien or Sam Bush?
Paula,

I played one I really liked. Liked it better than some Collings that I played at Mando Brothers.
Here's my experience with Ron Malec:

Does anyone know the song "Who walks in when I walk out"? Any help would be appreciated. Chords and/or lyrics?
That is Ken Cartright's creation. He is the Mando Medic. I have a bumper sticker and a matching T.
Yup, what a fresh player. Even though he has done it so many years his stuff is still ever so interesting!!!!
Thanks Alan! I'm halfway there. It's not that hard and I love those drag triplets. I heard a lot of mando players last summer and Dempsey's playing was the freshest thing I heard. He has a very...
Okay, not real sure what category to post this post in. I have wanted to play Goofus for a number of years. Anyone familiar with the tune? I think it used to be a theme song to some TV...
Good choice! We just got a cedar top mandolin in last week and I love it. It is very loud and rich sounding.
Yahoo Mapquest says that Huntingdon is about 33.9 miles from Altoona. This event takes place Memorial Day Weekend. If you're looking for something to do the weekend that you are here check out the...
I believe it's Elm. Anyone else care to chime in?
Aimee,
I'm going. What workshops can you recommend for a first timer at the intermediate level.
When I was there in Nov. the Gibson Master model was the best sounding mando in the store. The scroll was a little slopey though. I too loved the Phoenix!!!
Not sure what they are worth, but I paid about 1400.00 for mine (the one in the post) about a year ago. I wouldn't give it up for anything!!!!
I guess with all the hype on the Weber cedar top, I might check out one of those.
I am considering going to the Juniata Folk College session in May. This is, I believe, what used to be the Clarion Folk College. Has anyone gone in the past and what can I expect? Many mando players...
Anyone learn New Camptown Races from the new mando magazine issue yet? Great song!
