Don: unfortunately I couldn't go because I caught the flu bug, so not a good idea to spread it around. I'll catch up with you at the next one. Glad you had a good time.

Before I retired, I was a Quality professional. About 5 years ago I visited the D'addario factory in Farmingdale, NY. The purpose of my visit was to write an article about D'addario that was to be...

    Don:

I'll be there on Saturday. I'll look for you - the guy with the white beard. I'll be wearing a Station Inn black t-shirt. Matt Bruno will be teaching a workshop at 11am.

I agree with the comments from Ray, Tim, and Michael about the pros and cons of the SM57. I know that many here like the SM57 but a condenser mic is worth considering. In my particular band...
  8. Re: Mandolin playing mindset vs guitar playing mindset

    Re: Question about shipping

If you are worried about having the package sit over the weekend, UPS has a weekend home delivery option but you must sign up for it. There is no extra cost for it.

The Black Mountain thumb pick might be helpful. I have one and seems to work fairly well with a mandolin. However they don't make ones with a rounded edge, if that's what you currently use. Here is...
